Based on the so-called miscegenation paintings commissioned by Viceroy Manuel de Amat y Junyent and sent to King Charles Ill of Spain in 1770, the artist Sandra Gamarra commissioned a copyists’ workshop in China to reproduce them. On these copies she added quotes from various contemporary feminist thinkers for its subsequent donation to MALI.
